Barcelona city guide

Visit the areas where our apartments are located

The following areas describe the major areas in which our apartments are situated. While the Gothic quarter and the Born area are right next to each other and the most centrally located ones, Eixample is the largest district in Barcelona.
If you are seeking an apartment close to the beach, you will find it in our section Beach, which contains apartments in Port Olimpic, Barceloneta and Diagonal Mar.

Essential: the Botanical Garden
Famous for: Waterloomarkt
In three words: residential, peaceful, human-scale

This district is a bit more pheriferal,  far from the bustle of the city center. Lately it is a popular choice for those seeking home: apartments in Amsterdam Plantage have the advantage of being close to the central zones, but enjoy a very special tranquility.

HISTORY: The origin of the district is closely linked to the history of the Jewish district of Amsterdam. In fact, since 1600, Jews settled here enjoying a lot of conditions of greater freedom and tolerance. The eastern part of the old Jewish quarter since 1900 has turned into a residential area, quiet, perfect for families and children: this is the current face of Plantage.

ATMOSPHERE: From here you can breathe a familiar and quiet, full of spaces for children. Easy to see young families, the unfailing child-carrying bicycle with basket attached, and the green spaces that surround the neighborhood.

PLACES: Do not miss the famous Waterloomarket, in Waterloo, one of the most famous flea markets of Europe. Do not miss the Dapper market, the Portuguese Synagogue and Museum of Rembrandt. For nature lovers there is no lack of opportunities to get lost in green areas: among others there are the Zoo and Botanical Garden.
