Valencia city guide

Enjoy the city...

In the following links you will find our tips for your lovely Valencia holidays: museums, children activities, tours and excursions.

What to Do with Children?

It is safe to say that Valencia is a very family-friendly holiday destination where old and young are able to enjoy a great time. Children of all ages can easily be entertained by a wide range of possibilities within this beautiful city. From parks, over museums and education to awesome environmental features – Valencia convinces with variety.

Since most kids are crazy about animals, the Bioparc is the perfect place for an excursion. You can see all kinds of exotic species like tigers, monkeys, lions, elephants and many more. Being dedicated to the conversation with their wild habitants, the Bioparc chose the philosophy of zoo-immersion – a design which enables visitors to discover animals and their surrounding much more authentic and intense. When the little ones get hungry, families can also enjoy a nice lunch at a wildlife-themed restaurant or just get some snacks at one of its food stands to moderate prices.

Dip down into the wonderful world of the Oceanogràfic. A journey through Europe’s largest aquarium can be highly recommended since it provides an experience neither old nor young will regret. 45.000 marine habitants represent over 5000 different species such as sharks, belugas, penguins, sea lions and so on and so on. People can admire colorful fishes, take a walk through an overwhelming underwater glass tunnel or enjoy the aquarium’s famous dolphin show. Of course restaurants and various shops are also provided.

The Science Museum of Valencia is a great place to integrate some playful education in your family trip. It occupies 40.000qm on three floors and with its whale skeleton appearing design it is an absolute architectural highlight of the city. Not just kids but also grown-ups can enjoy a didactic, interactive and entertaining way of discovering everything about life, science and technology.

The Gulliver Park is most likely one of the strangest playgrounds on earth. Children and adults will both feel like dwarfs standing next to a gigantic reproduction of the adventurer Gulliver trapped down by Lilliputians. Kids can slide down his jacket, climb up and down the ropes or walk around on his chest before discovering the Lilliputians city inside of his body. A great and creative play field your children will certainly enjoy.

A quiet perfect trip for the whole family most of the time can be enabled with a day at the beach. Just a few minutes away from the city centre you find the Malvarossa and the Cabanyal Beach, which both can be reached by public transportation or by car. Enjoy a walk at the promenade, sun bath, play volleyball, built sandcastles, have a picnic or refresh yourself in the ocean – the opportunities are as wide as the sea!
