Alternatively, a 20 minute walk from the apartment brings you to the Born and La Ribera areas. Both brilliantly preserve the look and feel of historic Barcelona with their narrow streets, gothic architecture and crumbling stone-built mansion blocks. Nowadays the areas have an agreeably modern and bohemian atmosphere.
