Valencia is a fascinating city and there are many things to see. Here is a list of some of Valencia's most popular sights.
L´Hemisféric is an IMAX cinema, planetarium and laserium all in one. The architect's idea was that the building should resemble a big eye or rather the ´eye of wisdom´. It was the first building to be opened in the City of Arts and Sciences.
The Hemisfèric consists of the hall, the main entrance, the projection hall itself and the Perimeter Ring.
The ticket offices, cafeteria, shop, information desk, booking counter and temporary exhibition area are all situated in the main hall.
The projection hall hosts up to 300 people and has an enormous screen with a surface of 900 square metres and a diameter of 24 metres.
The "Carl Sagan" Perimeter Ring, named after the great American astronomer, holds events of all kinds.
Seen from the outside the building is surrounded by a pond of 24,000 square metres.
