TOURIST TRANSPORTATION

While there are a number of options which serve the main tourist attractions, by far the best and well known is the tourist bus service.

BUS & METRO
Public transport is basically a choice between buses and the metro. The metro provides the metropolitan area of Valencia with more than 130 km of rail lines. Get more information about the subject "bus and metro" and find maps, timetables and everything you need to move easily around the city.

For certain destinations there are also trams or the Ferrocarriles de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV) (basically a cross-way between the metro and a mainline train). Here you can learn more about this service.

TAXI
Taxis in Valencia are white and have the blazon of the Generalitat Valenciana with the note “Area de Valencia” on the front doors. Taxis in Valencia are of good value in comparison with other important European cities. In most areas they are easy to find, even late at night or early in the morning. Remember that you usually do not need to call a taxi as you can hail one in the streets.
