Salamanca

Salamanca, located at the north of the Retiro, has always been an affluent area. The grid-like streets and beautiful houses sprang up at the end of the 19th century, and were build outside the old city walls.

The urban structure is one of the most defined areas of the city, characterised by its grid like streets, just like the Eixample area of Barcelona.

This part of town, adjacent to the Parque Retiro, radiates true grandeur and here you will find more luxury shops, design galleries and the most luxurious restaurants in town.

It is a very attractive place to visit if you are looking for culture, want to enjoy night life and also learn a bit of Spanish.
