Location
The recently finished Verdi building is walking distance to all the famous squares in Gracia like Plaça del Sol, Plaça de Rius I Taulet and Plaça de la Virreina. Across the street you will find a modern supermarket where you can buy freshly baked bread and orange juice.
The Verdi apartments are located in a quiet part of the most well known shopping street, Verdi, in the bohemian Gràcia neighbourhood, well known for its bars, restaurants and lovely small shops.
Every August, Gràcia holds an 8-day festival "Festa Major", known as Festes de Gràcia, one of the largest festivals in Barcelona. If you’re looking for the authentic bohemian Barcelona where you can sit down on many terraces and enjoy your meal amongst the locals the Verdi building is the place to stay.
Parc Güell, designed by Antonio Gaudi, one of Barcelona’s top 5 tourist attractions and a must see for every visitor to the city, is very close by. Also not to be missed in Gràcia is the Teatre Lliure, considered one of the most prestigious theatres in Spain.
Five minutes walking distance from the Verdi apartments are the Fontana (green line) and Joanic (yellow line) metro stations as well as the Gràcia FGC-station (underground owned by the Catalonian government), which will bring you to the heart of the old city centre in only 10 minutes.
